Doni Hagan is an internationally recognized producer, musician and voice artist. As a drummer and vocalist, he can be heard on the film soundtracks for SHORT EYES, STONY ISLAND, SPARKLE, COLORS, FILTHY RICH, LET'S DO IT AGAIN and A PIECE OF THE ACTION. He has appeared in the feature films STONY ISLAND, WATTSTAX, MARVIN GAYE: TRANSIT IN OSTEND, the Oscar nominated documentary KUDZU and can be heard as "Captain Crew" in the full length animated feature FELIX THE CAT-THE MOVIE. In his 35-year music career, Doni has performed on 100+ recordings with numerous artists. He is credited with producing the drum programs for Marvin Gaye's MIDNIGHT LOVE, which includes the now classic recording SEXUAL HEALING. His premiere solo effort WOULD YOU LIKE TO DANCE (Infinity Records) earned him gold albums from France and Holland. He has toured with countless national and international artists including CHAKA KHAN, MARVIN GAYE, ARETHA FRANKLIN, BILL WITHERS, CURTIS MAYFIELD, GEORGE MICHAEL, DEON ESTUS, THE BARKAYS, PIA MOREA-DELGADO, MARCELLA, ESTRANGER, PATO GARCIA, CERRONE, NATALIE COLE, THE PETE COSEY QUINTET and JESSY DIXON & THE DIXON SINGERS. Television appearances include SOULTRAIN, THE TONIGHT SHOW (US), TOP OF THE POPS / BLACK ECHOES / THE OLD GREY WHISTLE TEST (UK), DAS WWF CLUB (GERMANY), MUJEN DANCE (JAPAN) and PARIS APRES SOMBRE (FRANCE.)
